An excellent site, finally giving me the information on those untranslated (since the late 70's) Blueberry and Smurf books. It'd be nice to see a bit more stuff on the less well-known works of the top European talents - Buck Danny etc. (In English of course!! As a English speaker I am naturally far to lazy to make any attempt to learn a foreign language!!)

("The Hagues")

I have just entered your page and allready seen that you donīt have enough stuff about one ogf the greatest comic artists in the world -Jean giraud,Moebius! What I mean ids how can something be dedicated to comic book without mentioning him. Many pages on the web dedicate their space to Marvel comics. Now isnīt that cute!-But itīs wrong!!!

Back for my third. Nothing about European comics this time, effendi, but I do have a question for all. Being the European lot that so many of you are, maybe you can help: for a friend, I'm trying to find out anything I can about the Swedish singer Stina. If you know anything, kindly relay it to... guess who?

Hi, I must say, I really enjoy this page. I am a great fan of european comics. If I will find the time, I want to scan some pages of my favorite comics. Do you know "The forever war" (in german : "Der ewige Krieg") ? I think it is one of the best comics I have seen yet. I am a german Math-Student, but in right now I am in North Carolina as a exchange student. Thank You for the great page, Joerg Gablonsky

What a great site! I've been looking for a way to find info about "Suske en Wiske" (a wonderful Dutch/Belgian cominc strip) and have finally found something here. I wish though, that there were opportunities to get on some type of mailing list/fna club for Suske en Wiske. If you have any information, please e-mail me. Thanks Gave site, hoor! Bedankt!

Ooooohhh... I didn't realize, back in the days when I previously signed your guestbook, that it can be read by others! Oh folly! Well, here's the skitch: I'm looking for some old, obscure British comics. Mostly early 2000 AD's, and anything with Grant Morrison in it. Trident, Warrior, stuff like that. If any of thine can help me, please do so. Eh? Yeah.

Uh... I have none. Except that I wish, oh I wish, that you had some more info on British comics specifically. Maybe someday poor old Long John Silver will get his wish. That was not a phallic reference, at all.

I want to buy Clifton comics. Anyone know someone who is selling them? Is there a good comicshop in Internet in Europe? It would be useful to add comicshop e-mail adresses to this page. One is: kukunor@sci.fi (in Finland) They also have WWW-page.

I was just wondering if this site knew that it was a blatant slap in the face for Ameriacn cartoonists who spend thier entire lives emulating Europeans. Just becasue you people have smaller dicks is no reason to get uptight. JUst relax I'm sure some girls (or ducks) like them that way. So anyway, why not check out what the guys with the big dicks are doing, The Crack Shak Awaits Enjoy! And for God's sake -- Get over it!

Great Page!. Do I have to write in english or dutch? I am a great comic fan and over the years I create my own caracter called Anne. A girl next door who ends up in semi SF stories in our own time. Problem is that I can't find the time anymore to work everyday on her story, so I'm looking for a well known comic artist who is willing to let my girl act in his stories. Do you think that is possible ? any way, If you want to see who is ANNE let me know. she's really great you know. Right now I don't got the knowhow how to send pictures over the net. I've got an A4 scanner so getting my drawings in the pc is no problem but someday I will manage to sent them over the net. So if you wanna see ANNE please send your home or po box addres. many thanks RID van Doorne.

I'm not clear if your list is supposed to be current, historical or both. Either way there must be tons of stuff to add. I'm getting used to the conspiracy of silence that shunts British titles such as Beano and Dandy into their own little ghetto, but let's face it with a weekly circulation still over 250,000 they probably don't mind.

It has been ten years since I have returned to the United States. I have missed the Euro comics that I grew up on. Tintin, Spirou, and of course, Gaston Lagaffe! There are so many more quality cartoonists in Europe, why can't they just sell their stuff on this side of the Atlantic. Hopefully, this Web Page will increase awareness in the U.S. that there are comics beyond the Teenage Turtles and Marvel Comics.

Great page. Good to see some European stuff on the net - finally. I would also like too see some stuff done by belgian artist Schuiten. I would also like to see a net index to European comic book stores. Here are a few to start things: Empire Richard Wagner Strasse 28 50674 Koeln (get their katalog) Bande des Six Nes 179 Chaussee de Wavre 1050 Brussels (great for antique comic stuff) Espace BD 2 Place Fernand Cocq 1050 Brussels (Great for signed print / great exhibitions) These three are the best I know. There is also Album in Paris, but I cant find the adress right now.

Well TKS, I am TKS too! I collect a few comics, although, mostly Japanese. I like Deadline, Judge Dredd, TankGirl, and a few other european titles. If you are interested in American comics, let me know. The comics are cheaper than the shipping charges overseas though! I send some to a friend in Tokyo every once in a while. I like your web site. I love Holland. I was stationed 10 kilometers from the Vilsec (My spelling is probably wrong!) and Holland is where I always went on my time off. Beautiful country and the nicest people I have met! I know little of navigating my way around the internet. If I did not give you enough information to contact me through the internet (E-mail), my address is: Thomas K. Shaw 769 Humbolt Avenue, Apt. 4 Chico, CA 95928-5873 Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you, and I will try. Bye bye, and have fun!

Maybe I just can't find it, but there appears to be nothing on a whole host of English comic authors. I'm particularly thinking of people such as Alan Moore ("Dark Knight" Batman stuff), Neil Gaiman ("Signal to Noise", "Books of Magic", "Good Omens" (with Terry Pratchet) and, best of all, his "Sandman" series, one of which won a world fantasy award a few years ago) Then there's Raymond Briggs (as mentioned by someone else in the guestbook) and loads of others. I don't know how widespread these books are- maybe they haven't been translated into other european languages, but there is some truly amazing stuff about. If you'd like me to review or even just give a cut down, basic guide to British comics/ Graphic novels, e-mail me and we'll work something out. I don't think I can actually publish anything from here (the Medweb at Birmingham medical school), but I'm trying. Keep up the good work, Matt P.s. the e-mail is sent through a central IBM 3090, if that makes any difference.

One of the most under rated comics is undoubtably Overboard. "Overboard." A poignant comic, that excellently (and subtly) makes light of the most compromising situations, not to mention all the witty dialogue exchanged by the characters!

Again: great news that even European comics are on the Web. But what about artists like Schuiten.I miss them!

I am really glad to see that people are putting comic book information, and pictures on the internet . (I would like to tell you that my last name is really not klaysun, I changed it for certain reasons.) p.s. your consumer brian (klaysun).

Great page! I love the adventures "Mortadelo y Filemon", but why not include pages from the best comic ever "Calvin & Hobbes"?

Toch bedankt. En..... Ga zo door

A very interesting set-up, and pretty much the sort of thing I've been looking for for ages. However, it would great to see links to sources in their *original* language. Keep up the good work!!

Great set-up, and I found the Asterix business fascinating. One comic artist I noticed to be missing was Raymond Briggs, author of a number of very well received books such as The Snowman and Fungus the Bogeyman for kids and When the Wind Blows for adults; the latter is a very powerful, very moving indictment of nuclear war. I'd write a review myself, but no time...
