Cyclist list Tour de France 2001

July 13:

Due to the cyclist name conventions used in the game (first initial plus first surname) problems have occurred with identifying three Spanish cyclists: "A. Gonzalez" fits both Alvaro Gonzalez de Galdeano (O.N.C.E.) and Aitor Gonzalez Jimenez (Kelme); "J. Gutierrez" fits both José-Enrique Gutierrez Cataluna (Kelme) and José-Ivan Gutierrez Palacios (O.N.C.E.); "J. Pascual" fits both Javier Pascual Llorente (Kelme) and Javier Pascual Rodriguez (iBanesto.com). If you have chosen any of these riders then please check if your team contains the one you had intended.

The official start list has been announced.

June 29:

May 03:

The names of the five teams with wild cards have been announced: CSC, Euskaltel, Lotto, La Francaise des Jeux and BigMat. This means that Marco Pantani, Mario Cipollini, Fernando Escartin and Alex Zulle will not participate this year because their teams have not been selected by the Tour organization.

April 16:

The names of 16 participating teams have been announced. Four other teams will receive a wild card. The names of these teams will be announced at the end of April. The official list of participating cyclists will probably not be available before Friday July 6.
