Cyclist list Tour de France 2006

June 30

The list of cyclists has been adapted with the information on the official starting list. Changes with respect to the previous version apart from the disqualified cyclists: AG2R Prevoyance: Calzati in, Usov out; Gerolsteiner: Zberg in, Forster out; Davitamon-Lotto: Vansevant in, Van Bon out; Quick Step: Cretskens in, Verheyen out; Credit Agricole: Botcharov in, Bodrogi out; Cofidis: Auge in, Bertagnolli out; Saunier Duval: De La Fuenta in, Fritsch out; FDJeux.com: Larsson in, Mourey out; Team Milram: Grabsch and Iglinksy in, Ongarto and Poitschke out. Because of the disqualifications, two teams start with 8 riders and one with 7.

June 30

Ullrich, Basso, Mancebo, Beloki and Sevilla have been suspended by their teams. They will not start in the Tour 2006 and will not be replaced. Astana-Würth has withdrawn their complete team from the race. Five of their riders are implicated in the doping allegations. Removing them from the race would leave them with only four riders while a minimum of six are required to start.

June 29

Astana-Würth will be allowed to start in Tour 2006. According to rumors 22 riders might be be disqualified from the race because of earlier drug use. A profisional rider list has been published at the official site. June 28

All teams have announced their intended participants for the race. The team Comunidad Valencia has been disqualified and Astana-Würth (Beloki and Vinokourov) will probably share the same fate. The official starting list of the 2006 Tour will be announced on Friday 30 June.

June 26

Despite being announced as Tour participant, Rabobank's Thomas Dekker will not enter the race. He is out of shape and will be replaced by Bram de Groot.
