The nineteenth stage (165 km) has not finished with the expected bunch sprint. A group of four escaped but they were caught by the peloton. However, shortly after this two men escaped and they managed to stay away from the main pack. Sylvian Chavanel of France won the stage. Carlos Sastre kept the yellow jersey.
In the game, there were two stage winners today. Both Bert Otten (The Netherlands) and fellow countryman Marco Alter obtained 54 points in this stage. Xiaojun Creemers completed a Dutch 1-2-3. In the overall rankings, Dutchman Tom Denters is the first to reach 600 points. He extends his lead over number two Bryan Stout (New Zealand) and has an excellent chance on winning the game on Sunday. Sandra Cunliffe (UK) remains third.
Today Damiano Cunego left the race. He was a member of 244 game teams.
